Trade Nation to acquire FXCM UK client book

by October 6, 2026
written by October 6, 2026

Trade Nation has agreed to acquire the UK client book of Stratos Markets Limited, which operates as FXCM and Tradu in the UK, as the FCA-regulated spread betting and CFD specialist seeks to strengthen its position in the domestic market.

The transfer is expected to be completed in late November 2026, following a transition plan developed by Trade Nation and FXCM.

The companies said the process is focused on client protection, continuity and the best interests of traders.

Trade Nation said the deal will bring clients from FXCM’s UK business, described as a community of experienced traders, to a specialist provider focused on spread betting and contracts for difference.

Trade Nation prepares for client transfer

Trade Nation and FXCM have worked together on a transfer process intended to provide clients with clarity and continuity during the move.

Jon Noble, chief executive officer of Trade Nation, said FXCM’s UK clients fit the company’s focus on experienced traders.

“We are delighted to welcome them, and from day one they should expect what our clients already value: very competitive pricing, a range of platforms you already know, and real people when you need them,” Noble said.

He added that the acquisition represented a significant step for Trade Nation and said the company expected further developments.

Information for FXCM clients about the transfer is available through Trade Nation’s website.

Deal expands Trade Nation’s UK presence

Trade Nation has built its business around spread betting and CFDs and said it combines a specialist model with continued investment in its trading platform, pricing and client support.

Trade Nation said the addition of FXCM’s UK clients would extend this model to a large community of experienced traders while strengthening its presence in its home market.

The company has continued to invest in its trading platform and proposition during 2026, with a focus on what it described as a straightforward and transparent trading experience.

Trade Nation was named Best Forex and CFD Broker UK at the TradingView Broker Awards 2025.

Stratos says Trade Nation is the right home

Brendan Callan, chief executive officer of Stratos Group, which operates Tradu and FXCM, said the company’s priority had been finding a suitable destination for its UK clients.

“Trade Nation stood out for its platforms and its service culture, and we are confident our clients will be well looked after,” Callan said.

The planned transfer will move FXCM’s UK client book to Trade Nation, with completion expected in late November 2026.

Both firms said they have developed the transition plan with an emphasis on maintaining continuity and protecting clients throughout the process.
